Summary
The Aeronautical Analyst - Ops Planning is responsible for the production & maintenance documentation (i.e. aerodrome and minima supplements) of a designated regional area, and ensuring that all required amendments are completed in accordance with departmental procedures, deadlines, and within specification.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate NOTAM's, AIP's, AIP supplements and other recognized aeronautical national documents related to the products.
- Determine aeronautical significance, customer significance & priority of changes with necessary production chart update task, update relevant databases (hard copy & electronic), Bulletin action etc.
- Ensure workload is planned and prioritized to achieve pre-determined deadlines.
- Contact & response to/with Navtech Customers, interaction with National & Regulatory Authorities.
- Interaction within Navtech with relevant sections such as Customer Services, Minima Section, Chart Production, Performance & Stockholm Ops Planning/Production.
- Ensure all quality procedures are adhered to at all times. Notify the relevant personnel of any product or production non-conformances.
- Maintain a good working knowledge of International Civil Aviation and UK CAA flight procedures.
- Ensure good housekeeping and Health & Safety is maintained at all times.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- Educated to ‘A' level or equivalent.
- PPL/equivalent is desirable.
- Cartographic education and/or experience.
Required Skills/Experience
- Cartography, Geography or Air Navigation Industry experience is desirable.
- Experience or interest in the aviation industry a definite asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to produce the high standard of work required for safety critical data, work to strict deadlines and have proven ability to multi-task.
- Quality minded - attention to detail - awareness of the flight safety aspect of the production of charting.
- Ability to work on own initiative ensuring deadlines are achieved.
- Must be a team player and have excellent communication and IT skills.
- Knowledge of all chart specifications.
- Proven knowledge of AIM processes.
