Navtech Flight Plan (NFP) is designed to give our customers complete control over their flight planning process to reduce operating costs, increase productivity, and maximize safety. The upcoming release of NFP will continue to build on this foundation.
One new feature set for this release is a comprehensive Flight List. Flight List shows planners a complete list of flights in their system. Flight planners will be able to search from this list and quickly open flights. When a flight is selected from the list the user will see the route on the map panel without opening a new screen. One click flight loading allows flight planners quick and easy access to their day's work. While Flight List builds on existing functionality, planning and route building functionality remains the same.
"The next release, with Flight List included in the NFP user Interface, represents the completion of Phase II of our long term project to re-invigorate the product line. In addition to the improvements related to the new user interface, this release also offers users of NFP and our legacy system (DispatchPro) improvements to the fuel burn calculations via the introduction of linear interpolation techniques applied to performance data. The interpolation techniques allow the fuel burn routines to calculate burn rates based on smaller weigh increments which will result in a more accurate calculation as it relates to actual operating conditions."
