Navtech Partners with Universal Avionics

navtech with universalNavtech’s Navigation Data Services Group was the first company in the world to produce Flight Management Computer System (FMCS) navigation data and we have been producing navigational databases for a wide variety of systems for over 25 years. Currently, over 150 airlines worldwide utilize our services. The systems supported include: General Electric Aviation Systems (formerly Smiths Aerospace), CMC Electronics, Honeywell, Thales and Universal Avionics. We also support industry standard Flight Planning and ATC systems.

Navtech has recently begun providing a Navigation Data service to Universal Avionics for their SCN 802/ 902 and 1000/1100 Flight Management Systems. Universal Avionics manufactures and markets an extensive line of advanced avionics equipment, including WAAS/SBAS Flight Management Systems.

This partnership provides Navtech an increased capability to support a broader range of Flight Management Systems for both existing and new customers. David Strassen, Director Product Marketing Navigation Data said,  “Establishing an agreement with Universal Avionics is a milestone in the history of the Navtech Navigation Data product and we are pleased to be working with the team in Tucson, Arizona.” Adding support to this system will further enhance the service that Navtech supplies to our customers.

Our Navigation databases are managed, maintained and processed by a highly professional and experienced team, based in the UK. They are experts in analysis, handling and processing of specialized navigation data. This data is updated and maintained in accordance with the 28-day AIRAC update schedule.
